46 An Off Wandering

December 11, 2009

It has been a while since my last post. I don’t have really important thing to stuff about. Just a regular day to day work and study. December 2nd was my birthday (happy 25th birthday to me!) and had double celebration treat just like 3 years before.

Ah, congratulations (I always forgot to wish clients) to Joe & Alia on their wedding … It was a wonderful wedding and there were many beautiful faces around.

Up until March, I will be covering several other weddings and it’ll be hectic season. I’m well aware and because of that I’m preparing several equipments to go along and hired an assistant for that big event.

Speaking of equipment, on the recent PC Fair III 2009, bought my self a portable hard drive and yesterday I’ve upgraded my digital SLR.

On the other hand, work at Mobtech has been uneasy. We can’t find ourselves a 3D game developer for our mobile game on Android system and even if we manage to have one, it’s going to cost a bomb to pay their monthly wages. So, I suggest outsourcing this project to anyone who manage to develop it. We believe there is someone in the world who can develop it.

you won't hire me

If you haven’t notice, we are developing a Quake 3D sort of game. Yeah I know, that game was ages ago but it certainly not the type of ignorant when you have tons of money to spend on.

40 An Editing Day

September 25, 2009

Haha… Today I promised myself not to have any dinner until the work is done. I’ve been editing photos for the last 4 hours and now clock structs 7P.M… Still plenty of photos to choose and finalize into an album.

I can’t believe that Shah Alam has better speed than Cyberjaya. Here’s a result I got this morning.

Yesterday, Celcom had a network services interruption due to call congestion. Causing lost of signal. Read the news…

And yeah, to distinguish between the real campus speed…

Reached Kluang last night at 1A.M for raya. Main plan during this raya is to gather as much information as possible for long overdue project of reorganizing family tree. Recently I found a free web service called Geni.com. It helps a lot i wish i found this web earlier.

Last night, the maximum speed I got here in Kluang for download/upload is 0.29/0.1Mbps. Making it 0.39Mbps in total and it gets worse during day. Probably less than 0.1Mbps in total. Still considered better than 384Kbps GPRS can provide. Celcom needs to upgrade the speed in village area soon.

Bought a MBP on the 16th Sep 2009 after a long and agonizing 3 months of waiting. Phew! It’s a relief… And worth it too. I bought a 13″ MBP for RM4099 along with 4GB iPod Shuffle for RM99 on Purchase with Purchase (PWP) promotions. Applicable in Sapura Digitalifestyle in MMU Cyberjaya for Malaysian campus users. Just bring a student/staff ID. For more information, Google “Sapura Digitalifestyle”

I just received a unit of Celcom Wireless Broadband today. An installation was OK even though none of the installation manual is provided. It’s simple and easy to setup. As FYI, this is 3.6Mbps aka RM98 package. 3.6Mbps is a best effort a telco can provide and at certain area where the network congestion is low, the speed capable of reaching that specific target. But as for now, only 0.49Mbps.

33 A New Business

August 1, 2009

Last February, I was asked by Mr. Reza Fahmi to help him in business. In June, I setup my new business. Along with Mr. Dziauddin, my new partner, Mobtech Sdn. Bhd. is born. We’re an ANDROID DEVELOPER.

A lot of new things I’ve learned during the period. Knowing big names, big companies, Government and personals, procedurals, the way to communicate diplomatically, negotiation and making judgment are part of the progression. Things I didn’t learn during undergraduate course.

As for now, I know exactly where I’m going. I’m going back to school that is…

I once had bad deal. Or maybe twice...

In this economy, being able to close important deals and negotiate better prices and terms is more essential than ever. But if you’re worried that being a good negotiator means having to fight dirty, you’re wrong – a negotiation should be an opportunity for give and take that results in a win-win situation for the participants involved. Learning how to negotiate effectively can help you achieve these winning results while strengthening business relationships.
