Okay I’m all set for wedding of Bern & Gee this afternoon. Hope everything is going fine until tomorrow…
Buntings, checked. Frame, checked. Batteries, checked. Easel, checked. Towel….. Towel?
On the other news, I still can’t configure a way to transfer big files (>4GB) between PC and Mac across LAN. I hope I can sort this things out ASAP. My PC is running out of space…

47 An EOS APS-C I
December 16, 2009
Usually I rather not talk about camera in my blog. But in this case, I rather be, a short one. Canon just launched its best APS-C DSLR camera recently with a pricetag of RM5,600 for body only. That includes 3-year warranty from Canon Malaysia. Coupled with ultra-wide-zoom lens, a 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5, this setup would covers most of the job I’m intending to do.
Apart from that, a tele-zoom lens such as 70-200mm f/2.8 is essential lens for all photographers. Whenever there is an event or candid gives the different perspective view; it compress an image by distance. It considered as good portraiture lens which produces shallow depth of field images.
This is example of photo taken using 7D and 10-22mm.

46 An Off Wandering
December 11, 2009
It has been a while since my last post. I don’t have really important thing to stuff about. Just a regular day to day work and study. December 2nd was my birthday (happy 25th birthday to me!) and had double celebration treat just like 3 years before.
Ah, congratulations (I always forgot to wish clients) to Joe & Alia on their wedding … It was a wonderful wedding and there were many beautiful faces around.
Up until March, I will be covering several other weddings and it’ll be hectic season. I’m well aware and because of that I’m preparing several equipments to go along and hired an assistant for that big event.
Speaking of equipment, on the recent PC Fair III 2009, bought my self a portable hard drive and yesterday I’ve upgraded my digital SLR.
On the other hand, work at Mobtech has been uneasy. We can’t find ourselves a 3D game developer for our mobile game on Android system and even if we manage to have one, it’s going to cost a bomb to pay their monthly wages. So, I suggest outsourcing this project to anyone who manage to develop it. We believe there is someone in the world who can develop it.
If you haven’t notice, we are developing a Quake 3D sort of game. Yeah I know, that game was ages ago but it certainly not the type of ignorant when you have tons of money to spend on.

43 A Photography Workshop I
October 29, 2009
I’m attending a 3 days 3 nights workshop in Cameron Highland beginning 29th October to 1st November 2009. This photography workshop will be handling by Malaysian Photographer Mr. Zainal Abdul Halim. He’s a staff Photojournalist at Reuters.
The workshop will be divided into two, that is beginner and advance. I will best fitted into beginner stage; due to lack of experience in photojournalism that is.
We will be situated at MNS-BOH Nature Study Centre in the BOH tea plantation itself. Subjects to shoot in Cameron are consists of:
- Landscape – nice landscape, places of interest, architecture.
- BOH Tea Plantation – the making of BOH tea, workers.
- Streets of Cameron – people of Cameron.
- Orang Asli – need to go deep into forest.
- Hill farming at Cameron – farmers at work.
This is going to be a third visit to Cameron in 10 years. But this time it’s going to be purely academic. I want to focus and learn as much as I can from this trip because it is not a cheap Photojournalism course. Probably the biggest investment for photography lesson, ever and I wish to apply it whenever I’m holding a camera.
InsyaAllah, by completing this workshop I’ll become much better person in many ways. Not only in photography, but in real life where I as a person have only one purpose, that is to submit to Him the Almighty.

42 An Outback
October 19, 2009
Lowepro Outback series is the replacement model for Lowepro Off Trail. It was launched in early July 2009. Scouting around and I found the price for a new Outback 200 is RM280 at Mitmivec. There’s one shop in Low Yat Plaza yesterday offering RM450, almost double the price from what I being offered earlier. Certainly in comparison price in Singapore is way cheaper than KL…
Currently this is my fourth Lowepros and this one solely for in-the-action type of bag. Basically it is a beltpack, can carry up to 70-200mm 2.8 (reverse hood) with body attached. Usually I carried 2 bodies, extra batteries and 2 speedlites along. And this bag fits it all harmonously.
Check out youtube to have a better overall look. There are 100, 200 and 300 AW models along its lineup with the price of RM220, RM290 and RM480 respectively.
